Scope & limitations
The overview was updated in 2015 and discusses both CIPA and CIP. The form identifier 2025a-001 does not indicate an update to the medical text. The brief PDF and current webpage carry different notification numbers. Japanese application materials do not establish diagnostic or financial-support eligibility criteria elsewhere.
About these terms
- CIP
- Some resources use CIP (congenital insensitivity to pain) without the “anhidrosis” qualifier. Its scope is broader than CIPA, and this site does not treat the two as equivalent; where a resource is filed under CIP, its relationship to CIPA is stated in that record’s scope note.Based on: This site’s editorial handling (not a medical claim)
